Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “T&C”) of Campus für Christus Switzerland apply to all websites, including the online shops and registration platforms on them, of Campus für Christus Switzerland, including its ministries and GAiN Switzerland GmbH. In particular, these GTCs apply to the online shop, registration platform, and the donation portal. (Commercial Register Number Campus für Christus: CH-020.6.900.073-7 and Commercial Register Number Global Aid Network (GAiN) GmbH: CH-020.4.061.386-8)16

The contract between the customer or donor and the Campus für Christus association is concluded through an order or registration by the customer and the subsequent acceptance of the order by Campus für Christus. The customer’s order is placed via the online shop, by phone, in writing via the internet, by fax, or by mail. Campus für Christus accepts the order by either (a) sending the customer an order confirmation (via email in the online shop) or (b) directly delivering the ordered goods (including invoice or delivery note). The GTCs listed here become legally binding with this acceptance.

Information Prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include value-added tax. Prices, assortment, and technical changes, as well as erroneous information and printing errors, are reserved. Information on products and prices can be changed by Campus für Christus Switzerland at any time.

The customer’s order or registration is binding upon receipt of the automatically generated email confirmation. Campus für Christus Switzerland is free to refuse to process an order or registration at any time without stating a reason. In this case, Campus für Christus Switzerland will inform the customer. A purchase agreement is only concluded if and when Campus für Christus Switzerland executes the customer’s order or confirms their registration in writing (via email or letter).

Prices are stated in Euros (€) and include Swiss value-added tax. For shipments abroad, the charges for local VAT and customs duties, which are levied depending on the order quantity, cannot be shown. These will be invoiced separately by third parties.

Payment for customers residing in Germany can be made to a Euro account in Germany at no additional cost to the customer.

Payment for all other customers must be made to a Swiss Franc or Euro account in Switzerland.

Shipping is at the recipient’s risk and is exclusively against invoice. Postage and packaging costs are charged at a flat rate depending on the effort. Delivery usually takes place within 3-4 working days.

If an item ordered by the customer is not in stock, the delivery of the other items will not be affected. Missing items will be delivered as soon as possible and free of charge.

In the event of a new delivery due to an incorrect address, the recipient bears all incurred shipping costs.

The delivered goods remain the property of Campus für Christus Switzerland until full payment has been made.

If the „invoice“ payment method is selected, the invoice is generally payable net within 30 days. In exceptional cases where the payment due date deviates from this standard, it is clearly stated on the invoice. Invoices for events must be paid before the event begins.

For goods delivered in Switzerland, the invoice will be issued in Swiss Francs. For deliveries abroad, the Euro price will be listed on the invoice. This price is binding for payment. The Euro price in the shop is for orientation only; the final invoice will be calculated with the current exchange rate.

Exchange or withdrawal from an order is only possible in the case of defective or faulty goods. Transport damage, incorrect deliveries, and complaints about defects can be submitted in writing to info@cfc.ch or by phone at +41 44 274 84 84 within ten days of receiving the goods.

Regarding the warranty, only the legal provisions according to the Swiss Code of Obligations apply.

The data necessary for business transactions, regardless of whether it was collected online or offline, is stored by Campus für Christus Switzerland and can be used for contract processing as well as for marketing and statistical purposes. All personal data is treated confidentially by Campus für Christus Switzerland. The data protection agreements are set out in the following document.

All visual material used by Campus für Christus Switzerland, both online and in print, is protected by copyright and may only be used with the consent of Campus für Christus Switzerland.

By making a binding registration for an event of Campus für Christus Switzerland or one of its ministries (this is done by sending the completed registration form or completing the online registration process), the customer generally consents to images, videos, and sound recordings of them being made at the event they have booked.

However, Campus für Christus Switzerland is aware that the exercise of personal faith, for example through singing, dancing, praying, or meditating, is a highly protected part of one’s personality. For this reason, Campus für Christus Switzerland explicitly ensures that people are not made recognizable during spiritual acts whenever possible. Furthermore, Campus für Christus Switzerland refrains from recording personal testimonies or lectures in any form without prior verbal or, where possible, written consent. However, these moral principles do not create a legal obligation for Campus für Christus Switzerland to refrain from creating images, videos, and sound recordings in such situations.

10.1 Transfer of Image and Sound Rights

By registering for an event, the customer’s image and sound rights to the recordings made of them by persons commissioned by Campus für Christus Switzerland (photographers, VJs, etc.) are transferred completely and automatically to Campus für Christus Switzerland. This right also includes the further use and distribution of image and sound recordings after an event, both online and offline, without time limitation, for a fee or free of charge.

10.2 Possibility to Prevent Image and Sound Recordings

At every event, Campus für Christus Switzerland offers all participants (customers) the option, in advance and at the event itself, to stay in an area where no image, video, or sound recordings will be made. Customers can contact info@cfc.ch or +41 44 274 84 84 in advance or approach a person in charge at the event itself.

The following provisions apply to both one-day/part and multi-day/part events (conferences, courses, trainings, etc.) of Campus für Christus and its ministries, provided a participation fee is charged and registration is required, or unless other withdrawal provisions are explicitly declared for an event.

Cancellation of already booked events must be made by email or phone to the contact address mentioned in the event announcement (or to info@cfc.ch or +41 44 274 84 84). The amount of the cancellation fee depends on the time of cancellation and is regulated as follows:

Time of Cancellation Cancellation Fee
Up to 31 days before the event / course start:  Processing fee as per event announcement
30-15 days before the event / course start:  50% of the participation fee

(or at least the processing fee)

From 14 days before the event / course start: 100% of the participation fee

Campus für Christus reserves the right to charge for third-party claims for accommodation, meals, travel, etc.

In the event of an event being canceled, the participation fee will be waived or refunded 100%.

Anyone who misses a booked event in whole or in part for reasons beyond their control can ask the course manager for a replacement offer. However, no claim can be made for an equivalent replacement offer.

As a relief and missions organization, we are primarily funded by donations. We do not receive fixed contributions from the state or the church. For this reason, we rely on the partnership of committed people who support us financially.

12.1 Earmarking of Funds

Your donations will be used according to the purpose of the donation. This means that donations for a ministry, a project, or a staff member are actually allocated to that purpose.

In exceptional cases, more funds may be received for a project than are needed, or a project may be completed. Such funds will be used in another project with a goal as similar as possible. Donations with the note „where most needed“ or „for free use“ help us to finance projects for which not enough money is raised.

12.2 Solidarity Donations for staff can develop very dynamically. This can lead to an under- or over-coverage of individual staff cost centers. To ensure the continuity of salary payments, we cultivate a culture of solidarity and help each other out—in the awareness that we can ultimately only perceive and implement our mission together.

The liability of Campus für Christus Switzerland is hereby waived to the extent permitted by law.

Websites of Campus für Christus Switzerland and its ministries may contain links to third-party websites. Third-party websites may link to websites of Campus für Christus Switzerland. Campus für Christus Switzerland assumes no responsibility for such websites and their content, for the products, services, or other offers they provide, or for their compliance with data protection regulations, and distances itself from them. Activating a link is at the user’s own risk.

Should a provision of these T&C be or become ineffective, the remaining provisions of these T&C will not be affected. Campus für Christus Switzerland and the customer hereby undertake to make a regulation that corresponds as closely as possible to the meaning and purpose of the ineffective provision. Changes, additions, and ancillary agreements to these T&C must be in writing.

The legal relationships are subject to Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Zurich. Mandatory places of jurisdiction, particularly consumer jurisdictions, remain reserved.

Entry into Force

These T&C come into force on July 7, 2021. They replace all T&C of Campus für Christus Switzerland that were valid up to this date.
